jennifer.sailtrim got a reaction from SheliaHuggins in Why can't I add courses to my Squarespace storefront?
I am in the same boat here. It's deceptive in how it looks like you can add a digital product (i.e. course) to your store, BUT then it does NOT create that digital product WITHIN the store, but instead as a stand alone page.
Customers want a streamlined shopping experience whether it's physical or digital. Furthermore, they are not likely going to take the course the moment they buy/sign up for it, and would need to go thru the check-out sequence... so why not make it an easy sell in ONE place so it's not so confusing to the customer...

@ecubbage I am just off the chat with support and if you have not already resolved this, the answer is there has to be a published video associated to the course in order to activate the editing functionality of the Course Overview page. They are hopefully going to pass this to the development team to streamline workflow in setting up courses in the future. I just used a "stand-in video" to enable the editing function knowing it's not on the public facing end of the site, and will replace when it's ready to go live to our community.
From support: (the lesson has to be published and then you have to refresh the page)

Hello, On the topic of basic email list management - I'm trying to clean out/delete/remove bad email addresses from the master list and not finding a way to do that. At least not in an obvious manner. If I'm missing something simple, would love some input. Thank you!

I'm still refusing to make use of Squarespace eMail Campaigns until they make it POSSIBLE to edit/clean/manage email lists/contacts. MailChimp, while I'd LOVE to house everything under one "roof," makes this 100x easier to do... A clean eMail list is imperative to the longterm success of any business... I wish they'd prioritize this.

    Dear Squarespace Developement Team,
For the love of all things web design - PLEASE rectify the image/media file management for BOTH designers who help SELL your service and for those who manage their own sites.  We have other options and while I have helped sell to and set up small business websites via Squarespace - this past week I was in a situation where I could have really leveraged Squarespace to a room of emerging artist learning how to build their own websites, and because image/media file management is SO crucial and can be a HUGE time suck to contend with - preventing artist from making art because they are wasting precious hours trying to organize their web presence - I DID NOT recommend Squarespace. Instead, WixPix became the recommended website host to about 1,500 students in this business course... They have a file management system on the backend of their platform... The fact this has not been addressed in my time as a customer baffles me. There are a lot of important devevlopments and very grateful for the ones made around eCommerce, but even for eCommerce image file management is CRUCIAL. It's literally dreadful when a client needs a 100+ product images updated and REQUIRE somehow removing the outdated images so they don't confuse the customer.
This should be addressed, must be a top level feature, and if you don't have the people on your team capable of making it possible - hire someone who can.
    Thank you.
