  1. thank you Paul for the investigation! as I'm on 7.0 it'll not work for me. As far as I know 7.0 galleries are limited with 50 items, aren't they?
  2. thanks Paul, I'd like to know what template Jeremy Cowart the photographer built his site on? https://www.jeremycowart.com/ is that sth. I could find out by myself in the page source? especially the scrolling function of his "photo-site" attracts me. I'd like to figure out if and if yes, how I could use this on my site (www.christianthiess.com). is that a gallery or a blog? and if there is a constraint or limit on number of photos? thank you!
  3. Dear all, may I ask a question out of curiosity: is there any chance to see what theme a user uses on his squarespace site? thanks in advance! best regards, Christian
  4. ah, well, ok. thank you! that's quite a pitty because Austrian law does need the caption to be in a certain way. otherwise I could get sued. thank you for your time and investigation! best regards, Christian
  5. thank you for your reply. unfortunately it seems that I haven't described my problem the way I should have. I do not mean the button to add a product to the cart, I mean the button to buy the items in the cart after the payment process where it says "buy" (or similar). lets say the final step in the buying process.
  6. Site URL: https://www.christianthiess.com/shop Dear who can help me! According to Austrian law I need to change the button text of my "Kaufen" button (translates to "buy now" in English). It needs to show "Zahlungspflichtig bestellen". Unfortunately I cannot imagine that I'm the only Austrian Squarespace shop that has this problem unsolved, but I cannot figure out how to change the text. May I kindly ask for help! thank you, best regards, Christian
  7. Thank you for your suggestion! I've tried it, but it seems to stretch the lightbox horizontally via the screen, but even though, it does not respect paragraphs from the product-description in the excerpt.
  8. wonderful - thank you very much! this will do it!
  9. works like a charm. thank you for the code! one question arises though ... see my product-page my first picture is a landscape-oriented photo on a square white background. the second photo is the original one ( landscape-oriented). is there a chance to configure the layout that the second one is shown in it's original ratio? like landscape-oriented? maybe I'll add a third one, portrait-oriented, but this shouldn't be shown as landscape photo. for example if I add a picture which shows a room with a bench and the picture on the wall - a classic vertical image.
  10. Hi Paul, thanks for taking time to investigate in my current issue. And thanks for your extended explanation. How could a suitable way look like to add a "more information" link in the product description which links to a "Additional information"-section on the same page below?
  11. Hi Paul, thank you very much for these details. I've already changed that to your suggested settings. Works great! Is there a way to: - show the thumbnails on the left side of the picture; instead of at the bottom of the picture left aligned? - show the image with its original ratio (length x width) instead of the given formats like 1:1, ... - this would be especially useful as I mix horizontal with vertical ratios. And as a workaround I put the photos on a white square background.
  12. Site URL: https://www.christianthiess.com/shop/fineart-druck-groglockner-bei-nacht Dear Sir or Madam, thanks for taking time, to have a look into my current issues. My question is about the pictures shown on the product page. Is there any way to change the following behaviour? maybe through custom CSS? I'd like to not show all pictures one after another in full size. I'd rather like to show just one and have several thumbnails at the pictures' left side and arrows as overlay over the current picture to navigate through the photos. thank you in advance, best regards, Christian
  13. Site URL: https://www.christianthiess.com/shop/fineart-druck-grossglockner-bei-nacht Dear Sir or Madam, thanks for taking time, to have a look into my current issues. My question is about the texts shown at the product page itself. I'm considering adding 'additional information' to any product. Like for my prints I'd like to share information on the chosen paper (maybe I'd like to include a link as well for further information). But: If I use the feature to add 'additional information' for a product, it is shown at the very bottom of the site, after all pictures. I'd assume that very few people scroll that much and could read the information given. So, it seems that I can only place the text in the product description. Is there any way to choose a place where the 'additional information' will be shown? for example after the button to add the product to the shopping cart with a title 'additional information'? or something else? Is there any way to change this behaviour? maybe through custom CSS? thank you in advance, best regards, Christian
  14. Site URL: https://www.christianthiess.com/shop Dear Sir or Madam, thanks for taking time, to have a look into my current issues. It's about the texts shown in the quick-view display of my products in the product page overview. - The excerpt shows no paragraphs. The text is concatenated to one single text line; spread over a few lines. What I mean specifically, for example there are no bullet points shown - just the text. Additionally there are no CR-LF (enter) shown. - The arrows left and right to navigate the products in quick-view-mode are at the edge of the current web-site. They are not shown as arrows at the edge of the 'lightbox'. Is there any way to change this behaviour? maybe through custom CSS? thank you in advance, best regards, Christian
