  1. Ok, in case anyone else here with same issue, I fixed it in a workaround way by adding a 'home' link on the main navigation, and hiding it on desktop like this: (works in 7.1, not tried it on 7.0) @media screen and (min-width:641px) { .header-nav-item:first-child { display: none; } }
  2. Hi, I'm working on the same thing and just wondered if anyone had found a solution for this with the mobile site menu logo? The desktop site is working great for me with @anycloud's code from above, but not on mobile. I wonder if it may be complicated by the code I'm using to switch the mobile logo for a white version? I've included that below. I want the site wide header logo to go to /home rather than to the landing page I have set as the homepage. Thanks so much to everyone who takes the time to help out on this forum, I use it all the time. Site: https://riverside-school.squarespace.com/ PW: David123 Relevant bits of code I am using Footer code injection: <script> document.querySelector('.header-title-logo a').setAttribute('href', '/home'); </script> CSS Code:........ /////Change logo for mobile menu///// body.header--menu-open .header-title-logo img { visibility: hidden; } body.header--menu-open .header-title-logo a { background-image: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/60ffe2517a7dc330831eaab5/t/61009ddcce2b7c24425b1e2a/1627430364343/school-logo.png); background-size: cover; background-repeat: no-repeat; }
  3. I'm bumping this back up in case anyone has any ideas. 🙏
  4. Hmm, could you maybe password protect the page and send people the password once approved?
  5. Hi Maria School comms is my specialist subject! Overall I think the design looks really good. The colours, typography, photos, copy and messaging all tie together cohesively and gives a distinctive sense of the schools and values. It could be a little more polished in places. There's a clear sense of what you're about. A mishmash of suggestions: There seems like rather too much vertical spacing in some pages, common on Squarespace The six icons on the homepage look !huge! on my wide monitor, as well as on mobile when they stack - can you reduce the size of these a bit? Photos vary in quality a bit, I'm sure you know - and its always hard! The About us page one is very fuzzy. Academics page - some headers here in all caps that don't match the site Watch the formatting on mobile, some of it isn't looking as hot on a narrow screen Four steps to a better education blue section - I really feel this is missing the ability to actually respond to this powerful call to action. It would be great paired immediately with somewhere I could actually tell you those things. The 'book a tour' thing below is related but not the same. For me, it's missing real stories and people that give it emotional pull and authenticity - who are the team who make it happen and why are they inspiring? What real impact has it had on specific students or alumni whom I might identify with? Maybe develop the blog to include really good storytelling content that brings it all to life a bit. And don't call it blog but something that describes what it does 'our impact' or 'student stories' or something, I dunno. Youtube embeds - these look way nicer if you add a custom thumbnail Are you missing a trick here on teacher recruitment? That's going to be one of the main things we want to drive with the schools partnership sites I'm working on at the moment I feel like there's an 'admissions/ how to join' type page missing too - beyond the contact box, there's not a whole heap of guidance for parents on joining the schools Hope that's helpful. Good job! Joelle
  6. Site URL: https://hebdenroydprimary.squarespace.com/new-homepage As I gradually improve at Squarespace design, I'm focussing on trying to make sure that mobile and tablet views look as good as desktop. One thing I'd like to be able to control is the point at which content blocks stack on top of one another rather than side by side. In a couple of sections on this homepage (in 7.0 Brine), the tablet view just looks off because the side by side sections get too skinny, or a button gets cut off. I'd like them to stack sooner. Is that something I can control? Set a minimum width for certain block types maybe? Can I do it for certain sections or site wide?
