  1. I have a client who has many products with many variants for each product.

    I need to know how to set the variants up so that the customer can choose up to thirty options/variants and see the changing price as they choose different options.

    I can do it with two variants but after more than two (and, as said there are many more than two)

    This screenshot way below shows ONE product she needs all these variables for. I know. Nuts.

    And the client wants to use a fulfillment service that isn't an SQSP extension so that is even more complicated.

    I do have this from SQSP Support:

    Quote

    Let's pretend that I have two different color options, like you do: Green and Purple. Let's also pretend I have three sizes, and each one larger than small comes with a modifier to the base price (let's say $50) that I decided on my own: +$20 for medium and +$50 for large. Now let's say I have framed and unframed, and framed adds +$100 to the price of the product, again because I said so (I obviously have no experience pricing items in the industry, but thanks for following along for the sake of the example).

    I can't just set the rule that Medium adds $20, Large adds $50, and frames add $100 and the system will automatically do the math for me by adding $50 and $100 for all combinations with those options. Instead, I have to do the math on my own, in my head or with a calculator, for each unique combination, and enter it in as the value for that unique combination of options.

    This is what I mean when I say the system isn't doing the math. It's simply looking at the combination of options, and then it pulls what the price you set as the total for that particular combination of options is (So a large framed item is $200, not because it's adding the modifier for  for large ($50) and framed ($100), but because that's what I said a large framed green item and a large framed purple item is). It's not doing algebra based on rules I have set for each option. That's also why the price doesn't change until every single option is selected, so if you leave one option unselected it won't update the price because you haven't chosen a possible unique comb

    ANY thoughts, or suggestions on this I would really appreciate.

    All My Best,

  2.

    My client has her site title like this:

    Renée Sentilles |  Original Art & Design

    She would like it to look like this the one below. Which has a pipe and smaller text to the left.

    I could make an image of it but I'd rather keep the text. Is there CSS that would make this work?2.jpeg

    Thanks, Lots,

    George Cartwright

  3. I am searching for a way to let customers choose multiple items and communicate that to my client. The items are only examples of the work; five or six must be selected and sent to my client to establish a starting point for a commission.
    These selected items are not to be purchased; they are just examples. But I need this information/choices to go to my client in one email. And there are numerous possibilities (20) for someone to select.

    I have three images (below) on this Home page. When I click on them the color behind the image is  a bit transparent. I would like it to be solid.
    I was told by SQSP Customer

    Service that the opacity of this Lightbox is fixed .I guess it's at '0.9' or something to that effect.

    I do have this code for the portfolio pages and it works fine.

    .gallery-lightbox-background {
        background-color: #fffaef;
        opacity: 1.0;
    }

    Thanks for anyones help.
    Best Wishes,

    George

    Dear Tuan,

    This works great I have a problem with it in mobile.

    It  works on the first link and not on the second one below in mobile.

    This image will show you the problem:

    Try adding this code to the Custom CSS on your website:

    .gallery-lightbox-background {
        background-color: #ffffff;
        opacity: 1.0;
    }

    Adjust the opacity (currently 1.0, to between 0.0 and 1.0), and you can change the color if you want as well.

    This was a life saver for me. I'm pretty done wih the dark and light lightbox backgrounds. This is much better.
    Thanks,

  7. Ah, sorry. That's the example I was using on the 7.0 site.

    I like the way the image on this link, home page, old site, gets darker so you can read the navigation:
    https://clivegracey.squarespace.com/
    Can you do that?

    Here's the link to the new site:
    https://salamander-hibiscus-yr6e.squarespace.com/the-mausoleum-of-bibi-maryam

    I made you an admin on the site a while back. Let me know if you can still access the site that way or not. I can redo it.

    Thanks,
    GEorge

    I am in the process of migrating a site to 7.1 and need help with the captions
    and descriptions when the text is too long.

    The post url, 7.0 has a nice solution. Forte is the 7.0 template.

    By mousing over the text it slides up and over the image.

    I like it.

    However, as i am migrating the site to 7.1 that possibility isn't open to me.

    If anyone can share code to make this work  I would be grateful.

    Thanks,

    George Cartwright

    Hi.

    The password for the page is :   mealwoodyes2

    Here's the code I'm using:
    #page .page-section{height:100vh!important}

    #page .page-section:nth-child(2) {margin-top:-100vh!important;}

    #page .page-section:nth-child(2) , #page .page-section:nth-child(2) .section-background{background-color:transparent!important}

    header, #footer-sections {display:none!important}

    Two problems I hope to resolve:

    1. The text below the images doesn't move up to show above the slide show.

    2. I'd like to be able to control how fast or slow the images transition and control the transiting with fade in and out.`

    Thanks lots!

    George
