  1. @tuanphan Thanks so much. If you could provide the code to change the color in this case, that would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  2. @tuanphan Just checking in on the above to see if you have any advice -- thank you!
  3. @tuanphan Thank you! That worked for that block of images, but it didn't solve it for other blocks of images with text highlighted on that same page (see screenshot below, or scroll all the way down here). Is there a way to apply that CSS to all image blocks of that type?
  4. @tuanphan here's the link: https://www.squareonepolitics.org/ thanks for your help!
  5. @tuanphan sorry about that, yes it's here: https://www.squareonepolitics.org/
  6. @Ziggy Thank you — just tried adding that CSS but didn't seem to solve the issue. Any thoughts?
  7. @Ziggy Oh yes, here you go: https://www.squareonepolitics.org/ if you scroll down just a bit you will see the section I'm referring to
  8. When I use the "Image Block: Card" design, with text next to an image, for some reason the desktop version has the first line of text appear justified further to the left than all the lines below it. Is there a way to make all the lines even? (On mobile it seems to have all the lines of text aligned). Thanks for any help!
  9. For these gallery images in a summary block on my website's homepage, I'd like it so that depending on the browser size on desktop, the images are even (or close to even) instead of having 6 images on the top row and 2 on the bottom row like in the screenshot attached. Is there a way to add code so that the rows are more even? Thanks!
  10. When the website is loading on desktop or mobile, it will quickly flash the website's background to bright red before loading the content. Same with parallax scrolling, sometimes if the scrolling is slow it will show some red between sections. I remember years ago I'd set the default site background to red, but it seems Squarespace has removed that style option. Any way to revert the site background to white or remove it altogether? Thank you!
  11. @tuanphan thank you, but I'm not sure where to do this step: "List items buttons > Add url to buttons" Can you show me where you mean? I don't see the option to do that for the summary block that I have in mind.
  12. Is there a way to make the images in this summary block hyperlinked to an external URL? I've added a click through URL to the image in the gallery on the back end, but they don't seem clickable in the gallery itself. It's these images on our homepage that I'm hoping to make clickable to a URL:
  13. @ChristineDarby Thanks for your help. Are there steps that I can take to improve site structure and supporting content? Not totally clear on what "posts are insufficient" means — and is there a way to address that? Many thanks.
  14. My website https://thecompleteworksofshakespeare.com/ has an ongoing issue, where the homepage does really well in SEO rankings, but any of the interior pages (which were built as blog posts in Squarespace) do really poorly in SEO rankings. I'd previously done a number of SEO optimizing/fixes to try and improve this, including changing the page titles to H1, and custom formatting each of the page titles/descriptions, etc. As you can see attached, if you Google "shakespeare full text read for free online" my website is the first hit (directing you to the homepage). However if you Google for example "hamlet full text read for free online" it doesn't even appear in the first several pages of Google results. It seems that specific pages don't index well on SEO. Any thoughts on how I can improve this so that when people search of a specific Shakespeare play, the specific page on The Complete Works of Shakespeare comes up at the top of the results? Thank you for your help!
  15. @Kennyv @tuanphanWould just adding this code injection do the trick for all my blog titles? I have added the code injection to the HEADER CODE INJECTION under ADVANCED SETTINGS but don't know how to check if it's working — when I look in Chrome at the source code for the page, the only place h1 appears is in the script itself. I am trying to get all my blog titles to be h1 on my website, i.e. on this page: https://www.thecompleteworksofshakespeare.com/tragedy/hamlet is there a way to check if the code injection is working? I want my blog pages to rank better in SEO but with no h1, it's not going well, so I'm hoping this trick will work. Thank you!
  16. @SEOSpace_Henry Thanks so much for this helpful reply — I will test this out and let you know what happens. REALLY appreciate it!
  17. Hello, My website The Complete Works of Shakespeare has every work by Shakespeare, which I created a separate blog posts for each of his plays. Homepage: https://www.thecompleteworksofshakespeare.com/ Example of play, created as a blog page: https://www.thecompleteworksofshakespeare.com/tragedy/hamlet For some reason, Google SEO does very well with directing users to the website if they search for something that's made on a standard (non-blog) page, like the homepage. For example, if they search "shakespeare text" I get good SEO results. However, if someone searches for a specific play (each created as an individual blog post), Google SEO works very poorly. For example, if they search "Hamlet text" or even "Hamlet thecompleteworksofshakespeare" the SEO ranking is very low, and usually still has the homepage as the suggested search result (instead of the Hamlet page itself). Google's own SEO documentation says that they don't differentiate between "standard" and "blog post" pages in SEO, but clearly something in the Squarespace back end is differentiating the ability to search. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  18. @tuanphan That did not work unfortunately -- still having the same issue. Any other suggestions as to how this might be solved? Many thanks.
  19. Site URL: http://creativepartnersproductions.com/%C2%A0 I used the code provided here to create a second line of text under the Gallery Image caption: https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/157514-gallery-grid-caption-format/ (the attached image is how it should look) My website: http://creativepartnersproductions.com/ When I do this, and test in Safari or mobile, at first the caption text does not display at all, and once the page is reloaded, it displays all in bold (instead of the lower line displaying in not bold but in italics). In Chrome, it all works fine. I think it has to do with the font loading in Safari (similar to this: https://forum.squarespace.com/topic/202722-custom-font-not-displaying-in-safari/) Can anyone provide the CSS updates I need to make so that this works as normal in Safari and on mobile? My current custom CSS is pasted below. Thank you — any help is much appreciated!! --- Here is all my current CSS: --- header { display: none !important; } /* image 1 */ .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide:nth-child(1) .image-slide-title:after { content: "Sponsor"; display: block; font-size: 15px; font-family: Josefin sans; font-style: italic; margin-top: -5px; } /* image 2 */ .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide:nth-child(2) .image-slide-title:after { content: "Co-Producer"; display: block; font-size: 15px; font-family: Josefin sans; font-style: italic; margin-top: -5px; } /* image 3 */ .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide:nth-child(3) .image-slide-title:after { content: "Co-Producer"; display: block; font-size: 15px; font-family: Josefin sans; font-style: italic; margin-top: -5px; } /*First line bold */ .image-slide-title:first-line { font-weight: bold; }
