Lightbox that's not a grid for video
rovingpictures replied to rovingpictures's topic in Images and Videos
Looking at templates Gates, Matsuya, Talva, etc these are great layouts for still images. However, you cannot have these as video Lightboxes. Best I can do is hacking away at wexley template, but that even that is limited with the user being unable to show the title. Curious why video portfolios feel sidelined in appearance and usage options, only relegated to rigid grid galleries that take a click or two off the homepage to get to and aren’t very organic looking? Or am I missing something that Squarespace is offering?- 4 replies

This is fantastic. It's direct and shows the videos directly, with the ability to show titles and play full screen: https://www.cpthorne.com/film- 4 replies

For example, the 'Gates' template. Looks great for stills. Why can't it also be a video?- 4 replies

Hello, I've been hoping that one day Squarespace would offer a template with lightbox that's not a boring square gallery grid system for video. Most clients don't want to click into another page, and it's not very visually appealing to only have the option to have the title/description written underneath and not on rollover. Is this still true? Or am I missing a template?

Remove link underline
rovingpictures replied to rovingpictures's question in Coding and Customization
@tuanphan Thanks again! Yeah, I think people understand that when I put in "Enter" it means it's a link :) The underline just doesn't look very good. Again, really appreciate your help! -

@tuanphan Thanks again! Really appreciate your time. -
I tried several types of code to remove the underline from h1 on my site, to no avail. https://www.rovingpictures.com/digital-colorist Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I originally tried:pagename {p { text-decoration: none; border: none; } } where pagename was the #collection and p was h1

Show H1 on mobile only
rovingpictures replied to rovingpictures's question in Coding and Customization
@tuanphan Sorry, I should have asked how do I get this for a specific range of pages? I tried #collection to test on one page but it came up with a Syntax error: collection-5d251a18b06cd6000163f1fd, @media screen and (min-width:768px) { h1 { display: none; } } -

Hi, I want to show H1 on mobile only (otherwise there's no title, looks very bland). Really only need it on the landing page. Or get the page to display the title, but mobile only. Is this possible? www.mattschwab.com is my website. I had to make the landing "home" page a gallery page.

Hi There, Working on my site: https://www.rovingpictures.com/colorist-featured I'm not entirely happy with the button layout. I'm adding in the new section "sports" and most likely will be adding in 2 more sections. The buttons are kinda clunky to design, they aren't the same size, it's difficult to get them all to match when you go through the different sections...and worse, they really don't look great when set up for mobile viewing. Just the long thing to scroll through before you get to the content. Feel like I hit the limit of what can be done to look well in Squarespace. Looking f
