    Hi Celine,
I thought I heard if you activated Paypal, it's a solution offered on the payment page, you just need to put “PayPal Payment in 3x” inserts on the product pages or somewhere so that people know.

florencepicol reacted to paul2009 in Embed Self Hosted Flipbook
If it helps, I reviewed a number of third party 'flip book' solutions to see which one was the most cost effective solution for embedding flipbooks in Squarespace. Heyzine was the winner by far.
FlippingBook was too expensive. Plans start at £25 ($31 USD) per month for just 3 flipbooks! To host 10 flip books you need to pay £37 ($47) per month!
Flipsnack looked very promising with plans starting at $14 USD (around £11) per month but this plan was limited to 10 flipbooks. Also, the colour of the background (behind the animated book) is a dark grey colour and could not be changed to match the background of the website.
Issuu is £32 ($40) per month before you can remove external advertising from your flipbook!
PDF Flip required me to download and host a number of files that weren't Squarespace friendly, ruling this out for me.
Heyzine is my preferred solution. It is just £3 per month ($4 USD) and includes:
Unlimited flip books Unlimited pages No ads No watermarks White label branding (no Heyzine logo!) Choose a background image or a plain colour behind the flipbook. You can also use your own company brand colors. You can add upload your PDF to Heyzine, choose how you want it to look and then download the embed code, which can be pasted into a Markdown block. I wrote a guide that explains how to do add a flipbook to Squarespace using it.

florencepicol reacted to Chris.SE in Disabling Portfolio Project Pages in Squarespace Version 7.1
I have created a free, comprehensive code solution for creating "draft" portfolio items:
    https://schwartz-edmisten.com/blog/how-to-set-squarespace-portfolio-items-to-draft

The reason I felt the need to create this code solution is because a client came to me needing this exact functionality. The existing accepted solution in this thread only takes into account hiding the post on the main portfolio page, but people can still navigate to it using the pagination from another post. Also, because it requires changing the URL slug, if you want to set an older post to draft that has already been indexed, then people will get a 404 because the URL has changed when they click that link.

My code takes all of this into account. Pagination of draft items are hidden, and the URL slug doesn't need to be changed. You simply change the post title from Post Title to (Draft) Post Title. If someone tries to navigate directly to the Draft item using its URL, they will be redirected to the main portfolio page.
I think I have truly thought of everything with this plugin and it should be a good solution until Squarespace wakes up and finally implements the feature themselves. I have a video on the post that walks through the entire functionality if you are curious about how to use it.

I would love to hear people's feedback! Hopefully this saves some people from needing to leave the platform.

florencepicol reacted to paul2009 in Contact Form Reply SPAM
This is a common complaint - replies to form submission emails are often trapped in spam filters.
Unfortunately isn't possible to customise the form submission emails so you'll need to use a workaround. For example you could do one of the following:
Click 'reply' to the email and remove the links and surplus text before sending Copy and paste the central section of the form submission text into a new reply Send form submissions to an external service (such as Zapier) that can filter the response and automatically send you a version without surplus text and links I appreciate this is not what you wanted to hear, but I hope this helps.

florencepicol reacted to paul2009 in Favicon not appearing on Google Search results
For the benefit of newer posters to this thread, here are some of the important points already mentioned:
Have you checked the size of the image file you are using? It must be a multiple of 48px square, for example, 48 x 48px, 96 x 96px or 144 x 144px. Unfortunately this isn't mentioned in the Squarespace support guide. Did you change the icon recently? The icon should remain stable as stable as possible (not be changed frequently) but if you did make changes, you may want to manually request indexing of your site. This is because the crawler will only check it very occasionally.  Google produce guidelines that explain how to be eligible for a favicon in Google Search results.

florencepicol reacted to paul2009 in Add to Cart button on category or list page?
I was referring to the use of some JavaScript to include Add to Cart buttons on the Product List Page so that customers do not need to visit individual Product Detail Pages.
UPDATE AUGUST 2023: Squarespace added a new 'Add to Cart Button' feature to the Product List Page (PLP).
This feature is only available on Squarespace 7.1. To access this feature, go to the Website/Pages panel and click into the Products page. From there, click Edit and then Edit Section. There you can enable the Add to Cart Button option.

We’ve been collecting updates all month. Here’s everything new with the platform in March!
    Commerce
    Fulfillment profiles
You can now create fulfillment profiles, which are tailored sets of shipping options that you assign to individual products. This limits the shipping options at checkout to those in the product’s fulfillment profile. For example, if some of your products are fragile items that require additional packaging, you can create a fulfillment profile for “fragile items” to ensure customers only have shipping options that capture the additional cost.
Learn more about creating fulfillment profiles.
Visitors can now change their own customer account email addresses
Customers who create an account on your site can now change their account email address to ensure they stay connected with their account. Please note, site owners can’t change emails on customers’ behalf.
With customer accounts, visitors can save their payment method, shipping addresses, shopping carts, and order information.
Learn more about changing customer account emails.
    Google Workspace
Option to upgrade your Google Workspace plan
You can now upgrade your Google Workspace plan from your Squarespace site to one that fits your business’ needs. We offer Google’s Business Starter, Business Standard, and Business Plus plans. Prior to this update, Google Workspace plans couldn’t be changed within Squarespace.
Please note, it’s not possible to downgrade your Google Workspace plan.
Learn more about upgrading your Google Workspace plan.
    Unfold
    Cropping tool improvements
You can now crop your images and videos to fit your desired aesthetic, regardless of the frame in the template you use. Before this, images and videos would fit the size of the frame they were contained in.
Learn more about creating stories with Unfold.
    Reels Editor improvements
You can now reorder the images and videos you upload into the Reels Editor by dragging and dropping. Before this, you couldn’t reorder images and videos without starting from scratch.
Learn more about creating social media videos.
    Websites and domains
    Navigation panel name updates
We’ve renamed some navigation panels in the left-hand menu to better reflect what they do. No functionality has been changed, but you’ll notice the following:
In the Commerce panel  Facebook & Instagram → Products & Instagram  Google → Google Shopping Payments → Store Payments  In the Marketing panel  SEO → SEO Appearance  In the Email Campaigns panel Settings → Email Campaigns Settings  In the Settings (Advanced) panel  Import & Export → Import & Export Content  Blogging → Blog Preferences
Note: If you’re a Circle member, you can access weekly release notes within the Circle Forum.

    Hi @Samuelb7227
Congrats on your brand and site! 🎉
Great timing! We've just built an Added to Cart Popover that appears whenever an item is added to the cart. It has clear calls to action to allow customers to continue shopping or easily find the cart.
This will a paid addon and is currently being Beta tested, but DM me if you'd like more details or would like to be among the first to try it. 🙂

@paul2009's tip about the private browsing window helped me. 👍
Although the style of filtering was the same as I've seen before, the blank template button was shown.

You might need to hover/scroll around a bit as the button didn't seem to immediately show when I scrolled to the bottom of the screen.
Interestingly that button will not show in a non private window. That could be because I'm logged in or maybe even perhaps some stale cookies/local storage are preventing it from showing. Not going to be tracking that one down right now! 🙂
