  1. Thanks

Take a look at the solution I published here: Make Squarespace list items clickable.
This takes the link that you've assigned to each CTA button and applies it to the entire list item. This means that users can click the image or any other aspect of an item to trigger the CTA action.

Latrippi got a reaction from paul2009 in Just discovered: Block IDs changed on a live site (7.1)
Paul, thanks so much. That's a fantastic guide and the kind of thing I was looking for.
Except that what broke were Block IDs, not YUI IDs (which as your guide says, aren't persistent), and page section IDs, which I think are new in 7.1?
So this seems to be a case of a change made by SqSp engineers to something in the platform that reshuffled a few block and page section IDs. I would think there would be a way for them to alert of us of possible disruptions when changes they make affect Block ID numbers.
But I guess I need to institute a workflow for checking every one of my client sites on regular intervals for broken CSS. Anyway, thanks again!

I just discovered that some block IDs on a live 7.1 site have unexpectedly changed, breaking important custom CSS.
I launched the site months ago and haven't made changes to the affected page since December. Thankfully, I guess, the site has only two pages and only the home page seems to be affected. No one else has edit access to it.
Has anyone else experienced this? Did I overlook an announcement in Release Notes about this?
I checked the site last week and didn't notice this issue. It's possible I overlooked it, as I was making a small content update to the Contact page. But I think I would have caught it and that the client would have too.
Thanks for any insight you can offer. Customer Care has nothing to offer beyond that helping with custom code is out of scope.
    thanks,
    ~Laura

I should clarify, that this situation is solvable, to a point using the Universal Filter plugin by exposing the .filter-value with CSS, like:
/* -- Expose .filter-value -- */ .custom-filter-container .filterDropdown:not(.outside-values-visible) .outsideFilterValues {display: block;} This will show the name of the tag or category a user has filtered underneath the filter name.
And this works wherever the filter is applied, but it really should be built in AND developers/clients should have the ability to name the value title, which using Universal Filter can be done within the config script for tags and/or categories, here:
name: 'Filter By Topic', multiple: true, capitalcase: true, getAttr: 'tags' Also, it's unfathomable to me why Squarespace would make the arbitrary decision to limit how tags and categories can be displayed AND to set character limits to categories.
Perhaps they'll add this back to 7.1 and have some internal reason for not doing so already, but a little more transparency from them would be greatly appreciated, especially with features that have been removed in the transition from 7.0 to 7.1.

This is a maddening issue with 7.1. Not only is there a limitation which only allows for categories to be shown in a blog section and NOT tags, but whenever something is filtered there's no way to show a user where they are, like in 7.0.
Even using the fantastic Universal Filter: https://www.squarewebsites.org/products/universal-filter
This seemingly arbitrary limitation feels impossible to solve.
    Why Squarespace? Why?!
If anyone has a solution for this I'd like to know.
    Thanks!

    Use Lazy Load plugin.

    or Numbered Pagination.
The plugin gives your blog visitors a chance to know how big you blog is, not just “Newer/Older“ links.
