    Can you share page url?

    Hi @tuanphan it is not my site and the agency who asked to help has set it to Private.

    I tried this and that works:

    /* footer links side by side */
    @media screen and (max-width:767px) {
    #block-212b424925883e57e2cc {
        width: 50% !important;
        float: left !important;
      }}

    If I do that for the other blocks, it also works.

    Maybe a bit of a hack-ish solution, but it works.

    Sorry, I don't see the notification

    You want, on mobile

    Logo

    Column 1. ..............Column 2

    Contact .................Instagram

    FAQ...........................Pinterest

    Shipping................Text

    Returns

    Is this right?

    Hi @tuanphan

    It seems this member never got back to you but I have exactly that issue on a site.

    I want:
    Logo
    Column 1 - Column 2
    Contact - Social Links

    Copyright message

    I know how to target the Page-ID. Doing this for someone else and do not have a password to the site.

    Thanks,

    Roland

    Hi bsull,

    I'm using SS 7.1 and I had a hard time figuring out how to switch blocks on mobile too! For 7.1, the two blocks I needed to switch had to be in their own section. On my website's desktop view I have a "Well hello there" text section introducing me and my company on the left, and a photo of me on the right. Meaning, on mobile, the intro text came before the image; but I wanted my picture to display before the text – essentially swapping the block positions.

    Here's what worked for me:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) {

    section[data-section-id="insertsectionIDnumberhere"] .sqs-row {
       display: -webkit-flex !important;
       -webkit-flex-direction: column-reverse;
       display: flex;
       flex-direction: column-reverse;
    }
    }

    The section ID # should be a section solely dedicated to the elements you want switched. I hope this is helpful!

    THANK YOU!

    It's strange that Squarespace didn't update the title and the thumbnail, because that's what you'd expect them to do. However, I reported this as a bug some years ago and they did not consider it to be one 🙃.

    As always, there's a simple workaround and a more complex one.

    • Simple: You can a line of CSS to disable clicking/tapping ("pointer events") on the thumbnail, preventing visitors from reaching the original URL.
    • More complex: JavaScript can be written to remove the old link and wrap the entire summary item (including the thumbnail) in the updated URL.

    Thanks @paul2009 I will start the Google machine and see if I can find these workarounds. If you have a lead, that would be much appreciated.

    Have a great day and stay safe!

    @RolandFuseHub

    Please post the URL for the summary block on your site.

    If your site is not public please set up a site-wide password, if you've not already done so.

    Post the password here.

    Adding a site-wide password is not a security breach. Please read the documentation at the link provided to understand how it works.

    We can then take a look at your issue.

    Hi @creedon

    Example: https://www.sqsmods.com/blog/ (First Post is the one I am playing with)

    The Read More points to an updated URL based on @paul2009 tip. But the Thumbnail redirects to the original post.

    Thanks,

    Roland

    If you would like the Summary Block tiles to link to other areas of the site, you can set the URLs as required so that another page loads instead of the blog post. To do this:

    1. Edit the Blog Post that you've used for the tile.
    2. Click the Options tab.
    3. Type the URL in the Source URL box.
    4. Check the Post Title should link to Source URL checkbox.
    5. Save the Post.

    Hi @paul2009 Is there a way to do that for the Thumbnail as well? Right now that thumbnail uses the original link.

    Hey Roland,

    Trying this now and it works great so far.

    Is there any way to finish the horizontal scrolling on the final section instead of the footer? I tried hiding the footer to solve this myself but am dealt with empty white space after scrolling past my final section.

    Hi @ZACELA258 I am not on the forum that often so sorry to have missed your message. Could you ping me at info@fusehub.ca?

    If clients are using the built in Squarespace Analytics they can exclude their own visits by logging in to their site before visiting it.

    The best way to do this is to visit account.squarespace.com and access the site from there. Squarespace Analytics ignores all site owner and contributor activity by default, so if you always log in first your visits will not register whilst you remain logged in.

    When you’re logged out, your activity appears the same as any other visitor.

    For more information, see Hiding your activity from Squarespace Analytics.

    Nice suggestion @paul2009 but I can not give 10-15 staff access. Chances someone screws up something is just too high.

  9. As you we all know Google Analytics allows you to exclude visits based on IP addresses so staff visits and/or visits from the offices of the client, or even mine for testing purposes, will not be part of the analytics.

    It would be great if Squarespace offers that option as well.

    Some smaller clients of mine do not need Google Analytics and are very happy with the analytics offered by Squarespace, but because they are smaller companies, their visits to the site, or even my visits to check something, are skewing the data somewhat.

    If I can exclude those visits, the data will be a better representation of ACTUAL visitors.

    Shouldn't be that hard I would think?

    Anyone any thoughts?

    hey @RolandFuseHub Can we use it on multiple pages? Is there a maximum when it comes to sections.

    Hi @JealousWeekends You can paste the code into Code Injection so ALL pages have that horizontal scroll, or...paste it in a specific Page Injection for only one (or more) particular page(s).

    No restrictions for the amount of sections!

    The only thing to keep in mind: because of the limited height, which is constricted by the viewport of the browser and device used, you can't have too much content in a section. We have created the code in such a way that if we detect that you are on a device/or have set your browser to be narrow, we detect that and automatically switch it to a regular vertical view.

    More on https://www.sqsmods.com/horizontal and the demo here: https://devhor.squarespace.com/?password=sneakpeek

    This video shows it:
    We only injected the HOR SCROLL on the Homepage and the others pages have a regular vertical scroll. You can also see what happens when we squeeze the window.
