    You can try this Custom CSS, it'll target the first section on every page, but can be targeted to just one page.

    #page .page-section:nth-child(1) {
      position:sticky;
      top:0;
      z-index:999;
    }

    Let me know how you get on.

    AMAZING. Thank you so much! That worked a treat. But how do I turn it off on the pages I need it not to happen on? It's really messed with the home page. Hehe.

  2. I'm making a big site and I really need a secondary nav but until that is implemented by our SS gods I'm winging it.

    I want to make the first section of every page 'sticky' so it forms a kind of sub-menu to my main nav.

    Password is secondnav

    Not a css expert so any help would be amazing. I do have to implement it on a zillion pages so if there was a way of making it global and then I could switch it off on just the few that don't need it that would be heaven.

  3. I have trolled the forum trying to find out why I can't edit my 7.1 Lock Screen styles.

    If you're on 7.1 try it yourself. You can choose the layout, and then you want to edit the text, cool, now try changing the fonts and sizes. There is only an option to change the font of the word Password in the password area.

    REALLY SQUARESPACE??

    I waded through all the years old complaints about this and it's still not fixed.

    For many this is the first impression of the site. It's laughable. And no, please don't tell me how to do it in CSS. I know that. The point is you can do this very simply in 7. The entire area is designed identically to 7 but there is no font functionality.

    We know squarespace developers ignore much of what happens in this forum.

    We need to complain direct through customer support.

    Please, even if you don't use a lock screen, send a complaint in so we can bombard them and get this silly issue resolved. It's embarrassing for Squarespace that their team has allowed such a thing to remain unresolved.

  4. I guess I don't understand why it should require css. The entire point of squarespace is to avoid code. It can be slow, it can be fussy, but we don't have to code and it's always lovely right?? But yet here I am having to enter code for something that should be a simple preference... I'm disappointed.

    Hi.

    I'm going through hell with this 7.1 site. I just want to have an image, below some text, and have it align left, with the text.

    Should be simple. But strangely it doesn't seem to be.

    I'm not trying to align text over the image. Just the image to sit on the left, instead of centred.

    I feel like this is so basic I'm missing something REALLY obvious inside the convoluted settings universe of 7.1.

    Please put me out of my misery.

  6. I'm a big fan of squarespace. BIG. I've been here for years and I have heaps of sites and heaps of my clients using it.

    However. I'm moving a huge site over from 7.0 to 7.1 specifically to use the Members area. So I'm rebuilding the site. It's SO not fun but it's a good chance to reorder stuff.

    But the bugs in 7.1 are KILLING ME. I can't go longer than a couple minutes without a save bug and I lose everything, or a 'network error' bug or a spinning for ages and we all just sit and wait and then I reload and lose everything bug.

    I've made all the requested changes to my browser, incognito, clear cache, blah blah. I am using Chrome and only have that and photoshop open. Made no difference.

    I've made a video to show you how bad it is and so you don't think I'm crazy.

    So what I want to know is, am I alone??? Is this temporary? I've been working like this for weeks, sometimes I get an ok half hour but mostly it's this. I'm desperate and want to keep using Squarespace. I'm just lost as to what to do.

    Yes I've contacted support. Nothing yet other than the standard stuff from the help area that they just copy and paste in.

    Love your thoughts!
