  1. They are still templates, even by Squarespace's own admission, because you have to pick one or the blank one to create a site. It is backwards, annoying, and condescending not to expose information Squarespace obviously has to the site creator. Squarespace should just tell me what flavor of “starting point” my template ID, in the source code, corresponds to. Instead, they send creators on snipe hunts through posts like the one linked above, and force us to have frustrating forum conversations like these.
  2. I am aware of posts like these and the resources they link to. That is not what I am asking about, please do not reply with suggestions to use them or discussions about them.
  3. Is there an easy way to figure out what template my site is using? If not, why not? Squarespace should make this easy to find in the Settings interface, but it is not.
