  1. Thanks for offering to potentially help. Here is a link to one of the posts: https://www.ocpd.org/articles/the-role-of-experiential-avoidance-in-obsessive-compulsive-personality-disorder-traits
  2. I am wondering if it would be possible to include the author's image to the right of the author's name at the very top of each blog post? I found code that allowed you to place the author bio below the title, but it doesn't look great and there is too much white space. I don't need to have the full bio either. Just looking to place the circular image next to the name. Thanks to anyone that can help.
  3. Thanks. I can see why the problem exists now. Just wish Squarespace would have provided me with this information before I built my entire site on 7.1
  4. Thank you for your explanation. Going back and looking at my own screenshots I can see what's happening. I'm not sure why I didn't catch it, but thanks to your explanation I can see it now. Unfortunately, my website has over 100 pages and it is complete, so there's absolutely no chance that I'm going to go back and switch everything back to classic. Not to mention, I have zero faith that Squarespace won't get rid of classic at some point. It's a damn shame that this information wasn't presented ahead of time, or that Squarespace didn't highlight the pros and cons of using 7.0 and 7.1. Sorry for the rant, but it's frustrating knowing that this is just something I'm going to have to live with. Thank you again for providing the clarification though.
  5. My apologies. What do you mean by "line feeds"? There is no blank line below the final line of text where you see the spacing in the images. This spacing is being generated below the final line of text.
  6. In theory, fluid engine is great. There have been some enjoyable updates in 7.1. However, getting my website to look professional and consistent has been a nightmare. One of the greatest challenges I've faced (and so far been unable to overcome) has been the spacing at the end of text blocks. For every paragraph on my site, there is a different amount of space below each text block (see attached screenshots with spaces circled in red). I have tried for months to resolve this. The spacing doesn't look significant when you are in the editor, but believe me, once you are on the actual site it is a nightmare. The spacing is different on every device. Quite often it just looks like garbage. It literally looks like I've made spacing mistakes on every page of my site. If anyone has a clue as to how to remedy this, I would be forever indebted. I don't care if the space is teeny tiny or enormous, I just want the spacing to be consistent. Thanks for letting me rant.
  7. Thank you so much. I had some old code that was causing a conflict. I only had to delete that code and that seemed to fix my problem. I have one last small issue if you think that you're able to assist. The desktop version is now perfect. But the code, when applied to mobile, isn't working as I need it to. For mobile, the accordion menu should come after the "related products". I'm sure it's just a little bit of tweaking required, but I can't seem to fix the code without impacting the desktop version. This is the code that I'm using to put the accordion menu where I want it to be: <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.7.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('footer.sections section:nth-child(2)').insertAfter('section.ProductItem'); }); </script> <style> section.ProductItem+section { display: block !important; } </style> <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('[data-section-id="6587e7821c4ad2328f2cb31c"]').insertBefore('div.ProductItem-relatedProducts'); }); </script> <style> @media screen and (min-width:992px) { [data-section-id="6587e7821c4ad2328f2cb31c"] { float: right !important; width: 50%; } } </style> And this is the CSS I'm using to properly order the sections/elements on desktop: /*Squareskills product page reorder*/ #pdp .collection-content-wrapper { display: flex; flex-direction: column; } .collection-content-wrapper .ProductItem-additional { order: 1; } .collection-content-wrapper .reviewsSection { order: 3; } .collection-content-wrapper .productItem { order: 2; }
  8. Thank you very much. If what I'm asking for next is easier with classic mode, I'm happy to try and switch to that. So your code was great. I had to make a few tweaks, but I imagine that had to do with the "classic editor" situation. The only issue I'm having now is that the related products are not taking the full amount of the space. I have edited the code to only show two related products in order for them to display at a larger size. If you see the attached image, I'd like to increase the size of the two related products to fill up the entire space. Thanks again for your help.
  9. Hello all, In the main nav on the website I'm working on, two of the pages in the main nav are just links to specific category pages in the shop. I removed the "all' from the shop. The client wants to land on "best sellers" when people click the shop button in the top nav. The issue is that the "shop" nav doesn't show as active when in the store using this method. Is there some code I could use that I could insert into each category page for the shop, that would show the top/main nav as active when visiting that page? Hopefully this makes sense.
  10. Hello all, I am trying to accomplish two things at once and have only been able to solve the first of two so far. I wanted to create an accordion menu that replaces the "additional info" section on all product pages. I was able to do this with the following code placed in the footer code: <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('footer.sections section:nth-child(2)').insertBefore('section.ProductItem'); }); </script> <style> section.ProductItem+section { display: block !important; } </style> However, I feel that it would be a better use of space to have the "additional info" section and the "related products" section in the same row, instead of in a column on top of each other. I have messed around with the code for a few hours with no luck. I'm not sure if it's not possible because of the accordion footer code, or if I just don't know what I'm doing, haha. Anyway, I'm attaching a Photoshopped image of what I'm trying to do and here is a link to one product on the site so you can see where I've implemented the code. https://www.lewisrossignolart.com/original-artwork/p/core-7gmsa-edaxs-ye6yk I'd also like those two sections to be above the reviews. I have some code that was working for that, but I removed it while trying to figure out all the rest of what I'm trying to do.
  11. Guessing this one might be difficult to pull off. I'd like to add an image in amongst my store products. This is the deal: I have an online store on my website that sells physical products. I also have a separate page on the site that sells books. The books page is really just a page of books that link out to amazon affiliate links. I'd love to have an image of books on the products page that when clicked takes you to the books. page of the site. Right now it would be easy to assume there are no books on the site if you click directly to the store and don't go through the main nav. Is there any way to do this with code or any other way? I can accomplish this by adding a block above the products on the store page, however it doesn't look great. So I'd love to put the books link in amongst the other products. Thanks if anyone is able to help, or even tell me it's impossible.
  12. I can't believe that this isn't more straightforward, but here I am again. All but one of my products are fulfilled by a "print to order" company. The last product (an enamel pin) is fulfilled by myself. I can't use my print companies shipping option as the lowest shipping cost is far too high for a pin. However, if I set up a shipping profile just for the pin and the customer adds other items to their cart, it defaults to the pin shipping cost. So now they're essentially getting free shipping on their other items. So is it impossible to truly set up two different shipping profiles? Meaning that if they order a shirt and a pin, they pay for the shipping on the pin AND they pay for the shipping on the shirt. It really shouldn't be this difficult. To be honest, I'd just like to have free shipping on the pin and include the shipping cost into the pin price. Any solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  13. Thanks so much!!!! I really didn't think I'd be able to solve this one. This looks so much better.
  14. Currently I have a client that is using both the "reviews" and "related products" built in functionality. However, because the automatic placement for the "related products" is below the "reviews", it isn't doing him any good. Is there some code to place "related products" above the "reviews"? Ideally, I'd actually like them to be side-by-side in two columns...but just flipping them would be better than how it's currently laid out. Thanks so much!
  15. Hello everyone, I have been trying to find a solution for a client wanting bulk discounts in their SquareSpace store for two years. Every few months I revisit the issue with no luck. My latest idea is for a pop-up to appear when either a customer lands on a specific product category, or when a specific product gets added to the cart. More context: The idea is this...the client is an artist that sells originals and prints. For the prints only, they would like to be able to offer a discount if the customer purchases 2 or 3 prints instead of just 1. Obviously this is frustratingly not an option. However, if I could trigger a pop-up when a customer adds a print to their cart, I could offer a discount code to use if the customer is buying more than one print. Unfortunately, the customer could still use the code for a single purchase, but I don't think that this would happen often enough to be something to worry about. Currently you can only add pop-ups to the entire store. Does anyone know of a coding solution or a plugin for purchase, that would allow me to create a pop-up for specific product categories? I'm doubting this exists, as I've been searching for days. But if anyone would know, it's the folks in this forum. Thanks for any help you can provide.
  16. Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately they aren't workable solutions for what I'm trying to do.
  17. On my site I have a product that is an annual membership. For the product itself, the buy now button says "Join Now". Before the payment screen, I have a form that they must fill out that was set up under the product. The button at the bottom of the form mirrors the product button, and so it also says "Join Now". I don't like having the "Join Now prompt twice. It seems like you're asking them twice if they want to join. Instead, I would like for the button at the bottom of the form to say "Continue to Payment". Any idea if this is possible with code? I'm guessing probably not, as this is part of the checkout process, and SquareSpace is overly strict about being able to edit anything in this part of the process. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  18. Hello, The website I will be launching is for a mental health foundation. It would be off-putting to have a shopping cart icon in the header. However, there is a shop on my site to purchase shirts to support the foundation. If you disable the shopping cart in the header, and someone adds something to their cart, the cart shows up in the bottom right corner. This is great. I'm happy with that functionality. However, if someone goes to take a look in their cart and decides to go back into the site for any reason, the cart icon disappears from the bottom right corner. This effectively means that unless they add another item to their cart, that icon never comes back and there is no way for them to get back to the cart to finish their purchase. I'm looking for some code to force that cart icon to stay in place as long as something is in the cart. Any help is greatly appreciated. https://beige-lobster-adm6.squarespace.com/ Password: square207

  20. Thanks for checking. I did find a workaround though. If you make any one of the form questions "required", it forces the form to be open and you don't have to click "Additional Information".
