Changing the size of only one paragraph
Jimmyness replied to Jimmyness's topic in Customize with code
Thank you, that's good advice. I think I've figured out a workaround. -
Hi there, I'm looking to make my portfolio look a bit prettier in terms of layout. Can you tell me how to change the size of just the first headline? Secondly, could you please tell me the code to only make the first body of text larger? "Building a narrative etc". Thank you!

My old post seems to have gone dead despite me bumping it a few times, so just reposting here. Any help would be awesome thanks! I've tried adding the following code to my blog, but it doesn't seem to work: #collection-57ffa84b414fb5433851df04 .entry-category { display: none; } #collection-57ffa84b414fb5433851df04 .entry-tags { display : none; } Thank you -

Bedford - Hide Categories and Tags from Blog Posts

Hi there, That didn't work sadly. Here's my full site CSS for context if that helps or is messing things up at all. .quote-block * { text-align: left !important; } #footer { position: fixed; bottom: 0; width: 100%; } #footerBlocks:not(.empty){ margin-top: 0; } .footer-inner { padding-top: 5px; padding-bottom: 0; } @media screen and (max-width:640px) { .nav-wrapper.back-to-top-nav { display: none; } #collection-57ffa84b414fb5433851df04 .entry-category { display: none; } #collection-57ffa84b414fb5433851df04 .entry-tags { display : none; } I'm also getting a message saying "missing closing `}" -

Jimmyness replied to Jimmyness's topic in Customize with code
Yes, sorry! www.jimmyness.com/writing I'd like to remove the "cultural research" category header at the top of blog posts and the visible tags under the article. -
Hi there, I've had a search around but can't seem to find an answer for hiding tags/categories from individual blog posts in the Bedford theme. Can anyone help? Thank you!

Yep, that's it. Basically invert of all of the background color and text I have there now. Background header, content and footer to white. Main text and header text to black.

For sure, thanks for the speedy reply, I've actually just figured out I can do the background using this code, but I'm not sure the line needed to also make the font black: <style> main#page { background: white; max-width: 100%; padding-left: 10vw; padding-right: 10vw; } </style> Site: https://www.jimmyness.com/research Password: test Thanks!

Hi all, I want to change the background and the font colour of the page above. Basically inverting the colours, white background, white font. However, when I follow the code I've seen posted elsewhere this doesn't seem to work. Not sure if it's something to do with the Bedford template. Can you help? Thank you!

Site URL: https://www.jimmyness.com/melbourne-skateboarding Hi there, I'd like to resize my website banner image, making it narrower. I'm aware I'll also have to reduce the size of the font in proportion. My site has custom CSS, but I can't find the part to edit to do this? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers!

How to add a tagline under logo on Bedford cover page?
Jimmyness replied to Jimmyness's topic in Customize with code
@tuanphan Thanks so much. I've played around with it and got it almost perfect so I do appreciate your help :). Finally, I'm trying to adjust the weight of the font to match the other page titles exactly. Below is my current code and the exact weight of the site font for reference. <style> #collection-57eaaf7603596ed76b1f103e #logoWrapper:after { content: "RESEARCHER"; color: #fff; position: absolute; bottom: -0.85em; display: bold; width: 100%; font-family: Proxima-Nova; text-align: center; font-size: 0.7em; white-space: nowrap; } #collection-57eaaf7603596ed76b1f103e #logoWrapper { position: relative; }- 9 replies

How to add a tagline under logo on Bedford cover page?
Jimmyness replied to Jimmyness's topic in Customize with code
Thank you @bangank36! That worked a charm. I'd like my tagline to be two words, but when I write this, it displays over two lines rather than one. What do I need to edit in the code to have my two word tagline display as one line under my logo? Thank you again.- 9 replies

Site URL: https://www.jimmyness.com/ Hi there, I'm trying to add a tagline under my name on my cover page in Bedford but you can't do this without using CSS. I'd like this to display in both mobile and on computer. Any help would be amazing. I saw @tuanphan answer a topic on this previously in 2020, but the code for me just displays broken at the top of my page so I couldn't quite get it working. Thank you!
