In 7.0 there was an option to add tags and categories to images in gallery blocks. When I uploaded an image of a painting, I could add tags to identify the series of the painting (such as western, coastal, floral, figure, 8x10, etc). Many times, an image would be identified with multiple tags and, therefore, could be found easily in multiple series. For example, a painting of the west with a cowboy on a horse would be found if someone searched for "western," "animal," or "figure." I could also add categories to identify paintings as available, sold, etc. When the painting image came up, it showed the title, size, and all of the tags and categories underneath. Everything worked well. Ah, but now, I am in 7.1...
In 7.1, you can only add and search tags for blogs, events, products, and videos, but not gallery sections or blocks. I need a way to have a gallery of painting images that can be searched by tags or keywords and by categories, similar to the way it was in 7.0.
I have tried a dozen workarounds. The best I have found is to create a blog for each painting, but that is not a good solution.
