  1. I think the most common and easiest way I've seen this handled is to use the actual store/product item pages. Then on the product item page you use Additional Info to add a code block with your item checkout button code. Then with some CSS and Javascript you hide or delete the SS Add to Cart button and move the code block with your custom add to cart button into the place of the SS Add to Cart button. This is a fairly common task, adding a non SS add to cart button to a site. I'm sure with some searching there are probably some threads here that talk about it. This article HOW TO INTEGRATE SHOPIFY WITH SQUARESPACE covers the general principle of how to add custom add to cart button code to a code block. Of course the web will have severals articles and how tos. Perhaps not specific to your case but will show the general steps.

  3. I just had the same problem importing a mailing list with 206 addresses (100% correct and consenting addresses), and the silent fail was quite frustrating. How about showing to the user WHICH email adresses are supposedly fake or wrongly formatted? Also, why can't the process be completed if any one of the emails is wrong?? doesn't make really make sense to me. ANYHOW, I was able to solve the problem by splitting my csv file into multiple files with 50 entries each and uploading each one separately, the thought behind it being that I could find the culprit address that way. In the end I was able to successfully upload all the files and there was no error message. Hope this helps anyone who may have the same problem!

  6. Hi bankank36! Thanks for your response. This code didn't work when I inserted it into the Header code injection.. Any suggestions?

  7. @bangank36 -- Thanks for your response! I was trying to cover just the header and not the section below. I ended up creating a small blank section just below the header (and adding the image to that) and that solved the problem.

  10. If you don't mind a little reading this is the place to start first. Rankings are attached primarily to your domain, so when that is moved the rankings go with it. Squrespace has good built in SEO so that would be a plus as well. Lots of folks here started out with WP, either their own site or helped move one for someone else and this guide reflects feedback from those people, so I am sure you will find it very helpful. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/115008374348-Moving-from-WordPress-to-Squarespace

  11. Every time I run into trouble I search through the video topics, of which there are many. I never have luck solving my problem of the day and always have to contact support. I am approaching the conclusion that this service is not for me. Nothing works the way I expect and it is time consuming to sift through tutorials and then text for help. That's why I am looking for alternatives. I appreciate the effort to provide the tutorials but the interface is incomprehensible to me. One problem and solution leads to the next in short order. Squarespace will likely be glad to see me move on.

  12. +1 to everything here. give the users control over all the media on the site! furthermore, when I run Google Speed Insights, there seem to be old images dragging down the rating that aren't even used anymore. But I cannot delete them because there's no way to access that image

  17. The array of videos and guides is bewildering for both 7 and 7.1. I can find the answer to every question but the one I have in under a minute. An interface that made the page you are working on prominent, with editing/formatting options available along the side or bottom or top would simplify most of the problems I have (yes, sounds like any of the image editors). I am going to keep trying for awhile but with no progress on my site over the past two days I can already see the end.

  20. Site URL: https://www.franklinprefab.com/cottage When I change portfolio image size of one portfolio page, it changes all the other portfolio pages as well. How do I change the image ratio of just one portfolio page? I am using the Grid: Simple layout. Squarespace's website states: These changes affect all Portfolio Pages using the same layout. I feel like I need to add code, but can't find where I can copy/paste this action. I am using Version 7.1.

  21. Hi @carliemcgarity. Try inserting the following via Custom CSS: .no-touch .collection-5d7a891600952e518d49e751 .project-image { -webkit-filter: grayscale(100%); filter: grayscale(100%); &:hover, &:focus { -webkit-filter: grayscale(0%); filter: grayscale(0%); } } Let us know how it goes. -Brandon
