  3. I'm evaluating Squarespace as a potential product, but I don't see any type of native integration with an external user management system through OAuth2, SAML 2.0, or LDAP. Has anyone implemented an external SSO provider, and if so, what was your experience? From what I can tell, Sqsp is a fairly simple SPA, so I feel like integrating SSO should be straightfoward, but I'm not 100% sure as I'm still evaluating the product.

  4. Site URL: https://www.honorwithflags.com/hwf-blog I'm making the jump from 7.0 to 7.1... Needed a revamp of our site anyway so it seemed like the right thing to do. Unfortunately you cannot transfer your blog from 7.0 to 7.1. So, I'm looking for any suggestions on how to do this. I only have about 25-30 posts on my 7.0 page, but what a pain to manually move them and how are they dated then? do they all show up on the same date? Just wondering if someone has already dealt with this pain and has a good method. Thanks for any recommendations.

I am a commercial advertising photographer and just moved my website to the squarespace platform to improve the sotry telling and SEO squarespace adds with its setup. I am experiencing analytic disasters compared to my previous site which is exactly what I did not want to happen. My bounce rates are off the chats and the speed ot the site is horrible. There is not much difference from my previous site as far as the amount of images and videos being served so I am curious to get user feedb

  6. Hi, I'm hoping to create a product that is made up of multiple options not variants. More like a combo of products, and you can choose the quantity of each product you want, then it's added up to one total and that is added to your cart. For example, if I have a wedding package form with bouquets, buttonholes, table vases etc. and I want the customer to be able to choose how many of each they want to make up the total bundle of products. Is there a way to modify a product template to do this? Or can I hack together a bundle of products somehow? I've attached a wireframe

    You can use lang() to get that code working. #collection-5e80eb1963d7965a88b364c4 #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1592754049361_24081:lang(en) { display: none; } #collection-5e80eb1963d7965a88b364c4 #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1592800234526_25508:lang(ko) { display: none; }

  11. I've come to the conclusion SquareSpace just isn't powerful enough to support a site like mine. The fact is, I have items that have options. For example, I should be able to have a single product listing that lets you pick: Manufacturer (10 options) Model (10 options, should change dynamically when manufacturer is picked) Color (11 options) Clips (12 options) Size (4 options) So under SquareSpace, this would a product with a 10 x 11 x 12 x 4 variants, and that's not accounting for manufacturer as each manufacturer could I suppose have it's own product. That's

  16. You cannot synchronise inventory levels between different products in a Squarespace store yet. The only way to do this is with an external service that communicates with your store using the Orders API. You can purchase third-party solutions that do this but they require are relatively expensive because they require a subscription service. For example, Trunk Inventory.

  19. @justin_phang you can do this with CSS now, it use to require JavaScript but there's a new feature in CSS that makes this easier to implement

  20. @katiapase It'll depend on what blocks you use on the page, especially if you're wanting to have the borders be consistent across all the blocks on the page. I would put all the elements that you're going to use on the page first and then revisit

  25. @katiapase yes I figured, that would require quite a few overrides to achieve the same effect. Because you have to account for the borders on multiple columns/elements and also the spacing to ensure that any existing text/elements aren't bumping up against the border.

  26. @Frames_by_Saurabh It looks like Squarespace does some lazy loading on the images that aren't visible yet, so as you scroll and as these images are loaded the layout of the page is "repainted". Repainting can cause a bit of performance lag especially when a lot of elements are being repainted. You could experiment with removing the code altogether and see if you run into the same issue.

  27. @Falconer you need to get used to it. I use both wix and squarespace and would pick squarespace any day over wix. You will need to learn the CSS tricks to do the things you want but once you have found good resources or are able to use a service like ghost plugins you can make a squarespace site in 1/3 of the time compared to wix.

  32. Site URL: https://www.davisandcointeriors.com.au/full-interior-service Hi All, I'm building a website in 7.1 and I'm struggling to contain a section background image OR find a more appropriate solution. As you can see from the attached image, the items in the image are on the sides. When viewed on smaller screens, rather than the image being scaled down, the image crops to the point where the items are no longer visible. This is clearly not what the client wants. I've tried added custom CSS, but it's just not doing anything. Any help would be greatly a

  38. @tuanphan that didn't work. But got me close enough to work it out on my own in under 5 hours! πŸ™‚And to be honest, this feels WAY WAY better on my photography site because now it's almost like auto size and when I have medium format images, it shows the 4:3 aspect ratio properly. If a single product image ONLY. So this is what works to take your single product image from whatever it's forced to be, to allow for portrait or vertical images as well. This was put in CSS. It's a bummer because it doesn't stretch the ProductItem-Summary over towards it, so there is a big gap in the

  40. I'm opening a store where I sell variations on the same product. Basically there's the basic product, but for an extra fee it can be painted, then for another fee it can have finishing work done, etc. The extra options stack like this: Unpainted base version - $20 Painted version - $30 Painted version w/ finishing - $40 Right now I have them listed as different variats on each product page, but that makes inventory tracking difficult since all the different options start with that unpainted base version. Is there any way to set a single master stock quantity no matter which variation someon

    Inventory question

    There's no way to do this within Squarespace unfortunately, you'll need to use an inventory app like Trunk Trunk can sync inventory in real-time between the same SKUs. If you give all your versions the same SKU, Trunk can keep them in sync within Squarespace. If one sells or changes in stock, it will also adjust the others. Trunk also supports bundling/kitting/components which allows you to create a master product. Then your other products can depend on this master product in various configurations (e.g. if you're selling pencils, the master product is one pencil, and then you can have packs

They can close out of the pop-up, but I was wondering if it was possible to change that so they can only minimize the pop-up and it becomes almost like a small chat bar in the lower right-hand corner? Hard to describe but like a minimized page that it is in the bottom right when they navigate the rest of the website, so they can change their mind and subscribe. Thanks!

  43. Add a Code Block where you want the text to appear and paste this into it: <div class="scrollBox"> paste your text here </div> Put your text where it says 'paste your text here'. Copy and paste this into the Custom CSS Editor: .scrollBox { height: 120px; width: 100%; border: 1px solid #ccc; overflow: auto; padding: 10px } You can change the dimensions of the box by changing the values after the height and width.
