    Using metomic.io for my own and numerous client websites seems to turn out well. It's free, mulitilanguage, visually fits to Squarespace, custom brand color and more. The only thing I don't like is that both yes & no buttons are of the same kind, but metomic says they don't want to make a tool that converts (anyway) but a tool that is legit. It comes as a popup, not as a banner bar:

    Scroll Down Arrow on Large Format Section

    Hello Squarespace Community, I have the new Squarespace Template / Editor and made a Full Page Section with the Format, Section Height "L" (Large). However, I want to add an scroll down arrow at the bottom, because otherwise it appears to the viewer that the Large Section is already the full page. I hope you understand what I mean, if not, please ask me to clarify further.

    Site URL: https://paulshambroom.com I'm a new user on Squarespace and about start a periodic email newsletter for my fine-art photography and books. I had to choose between Mailchimp and Squarespace and went with the latter because I thought it would be simpler to integrate because my site is on Squarespace. My designer did a little coding on the site but it was basically done with basic template. Now I'm trying to compose may first email blast and I'm kind of shocked at the lack of options for basic things like sizing text and images. Even things like designating test blocks as subheadings. Short of learning how to modify these with code (don;t want to go there), does anyone have advice or thoughts on this? Do we think Squarespace is working on improving these capabilities? I'm also quite surprised by the lack of sophistication available in email list management- no sorting by date joined or name, no reassigning to other lists, etc. Thanks for listening.

    This is one of those situations where Squarespace isn't the right solution.

    This worked! Thank you so much for your help! How would I do this for more than just one category? For example, if I want to change products with the tag "store" to say "In-store Only", and products with the tag "seasonal" to say "Seasonal Item", while leaving everything else to say "Out of Stock"? How would I add multiple categories using the code in your blog post?

    change the opacity 0 to another number, you can try 2 or 3, until you get the effect you want.

    Are there any plans to expand the available font packs in email campaigns? I would like to be able to choose fonts individually, the current combinations are very clunky and unattractive and detract from any serious branding in my opinion. Will there be any expanded options in the future?

    CSS for a Background

    Looks like percentages are working. Unfortunately, the background is not working responsively for me. David

    Hi @akb33 In my opinion, visitors will indeed have a better experience if they can view similar products together on the same page, even if they are not available for online purchase. However, as you pointed out, it's essential that product availability is made clear on the product list page(s). It would be frustrating for them to click into each product before they discover it is unavailable. You can do this by adding a label to these products. Squarespace already has a 'Sold Out label that can appear when products have zero inventory. With some code, you could repurpose this for offline products. To enable Sold Out labels, open a product list page and then go to Design > Site Styles. Find the Products: Status Badges tweak, and choose a Style other than None. The labels will now appear for all products with zero inventory. You can change the label to "Available in store only" (see below) for certain products, by adding some code to your site and an "In-store" tag to these products. First, add a tag to one of the products. Edit the product and then click + beside Tags in the lower left corner and type the name of the tag. Save the changes and then go to Settings > Advanced > Code Injection to add some code. You'll find the code in this guide: Changing Squarespace 'SOLD OUT' labels to something else. The specific instructions for your situation are in the section entitled How to change only one product category. For the benefit of others who read this post: This snippet is for the Squarespace 7.0 Brine-family template, as referenced in the author's question. All code snippets provided are simplified and provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. If you need code for a business-critical website, consider hiring an experienced web developer who you can trust to build secure and reliable code at a competitive price. I hope this helps. -Paul

    Try using Mailchimp (free account), when somebody subscribes they will be automatically added to your mailing list and you can give them a thanks for doing email with a link to download the instruction manual. We do this for our travel site and offer a free eBook to anybody signing up. We actually have it set up so that a new subscriber gets three emails with pointing to various blog posts etc. The timing of each email can be set up with Mailchimp.

    I am trying to add a feature where a new user enters their email address and they receive an email with an information guide. Also, I would like this email to be added to the list for my email campaigns. Other than creating an email campaign I have not yet been able to figure out how to send the initial response with the material that the customer requested. Below is a screenshot from another website that shows what I am trying to do. After the customer enters their email address they will receive a free guide and then be enrolled in the newsletter. Thank you all for the help....

    I figured it out on my own. I made the left and right margin of the summary block wrapper -300px and I made the left and right padding of it 300px. #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1574400161847_5399 .summary-block-wrapper {background: #e4e4e4; margin-left: -300px; margin-right: -300px; margin-bottom: 0; padding-bottom: 3vw; padding-left: 300px; padding-right: 300px; margin-top: 0;}

    It’s not ideal for SEO abut Google will see the main URL of the index page and index it accordingly. In the past I’ve noticed that Google has then marked the individual pages in the index as canonical. Overall I’ve still managed to rank highly with index pages before so it shouldn’t be a problem https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/139066?hl=en

    Padding Between Image Blocks

    I figured it out... it seems that so far I've been answering all my own questions :). .image-block { padding-top: 20px !important; padding-bottom: 50px !important; }

    Try this /*** DISPLAY GALLERY ON MOBILE CAPTION ***/ .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-meta { opacity: 1 !important; background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.7) !important; } @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px){ .yui3-lightbox2 .sqs-lightbox-meta{ bottom: 0px !important; } }

    @willryan042 Once something like that happened to me, and I had to turn off the Ajax option off in the design menu ; after, I did not have to refresh the page to have the element(s). Sorry if this does not help ; but for some, maybe it will.

    If anyone has much simpler needs, I found a way to do a really simple text box popup with a title, subheading and basic text area by hacking the built in form. Don't use it on a page that needs forms. In the page settings for the page you want to do this with put the following code: <style> .form-button-wrapper{display:none;} form .field-element {display:none;} </style> Then create a form on your page, clear all the stock form fields and create one new simple text field, and in the advanced settings, set it to open in lightbox mode. The title and description of that field form the content of the popup

    There are two workarounds for this issue. The first is far from ideal but can work in certain circumstances. You can break down your gallery/blog/events into different categories/tags and then add multiple summary blocks to the same page, with each one only showing one of the categories/tags. As I say, it’s far from ideal but it's the only option currently available without buying a third party solution. The second workaround is to purchase a third party plugin that allows you to have as many items as you need, and to load them on demand using ‘lazy loading’. I wholly recommend this plugin, see: https://www.squarewebsites.org/products/lazy-summaries Squarespace don't accept feature requests via this forum any more so if you need more than 30 items, you'll need to contact Customer Care directly to add your voice to the requests for this feature to be built-in. You can reach out to them here.

    It is possible using a custom breadcrumbs.block in the blocks folder when accessing the site using FTP. Content of breadcrumbs.block file: {.section collection}{navigationTitle} / {.end} Then place the below code in site.region where you want the breadcrumbs to appear: Home / {collection.title}{.section item} > {title}{.end} Ratnaishratnaish007@gmail.com

    I'd love to have this option but not for a blog but for products' listing- summary block gives a lot of useful options (like grid/list layout) and limitation to 30 pcs is killing me:(
