    Site URL: https://de.squarespace.com/ I have seen the new Squarespace Cookie Banner on the German Squarespace website. When will it be available for our customers? Finally it is possible to control Cookies without Cookiebot and Google Tag Manger. see screenshot

    @designfordummies, you'd just need to target that specific element based on its link. Add this to Design > Custom CSS .portfolio-hover-items-list a[href="dekomarkerboards/flexible"] h1 { color: #e51937 !important; } If you change the URL of that page, you'll also need to update it in the code. And if this same layout appears on another page and you don't want the red, just add a collection ID to this code.

    7.1 is horrible right?

    I'm working with a new 7.1 system after maybe thirty or more paid V7.0 (or earlier) site builds. Not happy at all. Instead of listening to the design community and building more powerful, flexible, unique features they, instead, took current features and simplified them for newbie designers. The only improvement here will be to Squarespace's bottom line as they court young small business owners that don't (yet) see the value in hiring a web designer. These small business owners will invariably kludge together a website that will look like all of their competitors. I believe this is entirely the wrong direction for this web platform when they could have put brain power into improving the features while adding a way to abstract away confusing bits shown to these new designers. IE: Consumer mode, Professional mode

    Site logo smaller? 7.1

    Hi @mportch, if you scroll to the end of this blog post, I have code on how to change the logo size in Squarespace 7.1: https://christyprice.com/squarespace-tips-tricks/how-to-make-logo-bigger-squarespace

    Hi @krduva02, Squarespace removed the ability to have HTML code (like line breaks) in image titles a little over a year ago. Here's a blog post with more info: https://www.adlyticmarketing.com/blog/squarespace-using-code-and-html-in-image-titles/ To target the font for the gallery stack title, you'll need to add this to Design > Custom CSS: .sqs-gallery-block-stacked .meta-title { font-size: 40px; font-family: ariel; color: #000000; } You can play around with the font, size, and color.

    adding fonts from adobe

    i finally figured it out. the same principles apply to adobe fonts and google fonts. using google as my reference since it's free and publicly available. header code such as <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Roboto+Slab:wght@200;900&display=swap" rel="stylesheet"> is pasted into "settings > advanced > code injection" in the "header" area for code injection. the specific css rules are pasted into "design > custom css" but needs the requisite html tags such as h1, h2, h3, p. the code offered from adobe or google usually looks like this: font-family: 'Roboto Slab', serif; add additional css selectors and curly braces to validate the css: h3 { font-family: 'Roboto Slab', serif; }

    Hi @djm, yes you can target all h3 on mobile. @media only screen and (max-width: 991px) { h3 { font-size: 12px !important; } } You can change around the screen size max-width and the font size until you get the result you want.

    Limit the number of related products

    I love answering my own questions by finding bits of CSS code and tying them together. Especially when it works (it mostly doesn't!) Either way it's good way to spend quarantime. This seems to be right @tuanphan, is it though?! 🙂 @media screen and (max-width:767px) {.ProductItem-relatedProducts .list-grid {grid-template-columns: repeat(2,minmax(0,2fr)) !important; display: grid; grid-column-gap:3px; grid-row-gap: 1px; } }

    I wrote a guide that may help you: https://sf.digital/squarespace-solutions/in-squarespace-what-are-the-differences-between-block-and-yui-selectors For more specific advice, you will need to provide us with more details, including a working link to the page.

    Limit the number of related products

    Add to Home > Design > custom CSS /* related product 3 items */ .ProductItem-relatedProducts .list-grid .grid-item:nth-child(n+4) { display: none; }

    Add to Home > Design > Custom CSS div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1586818319104_30084+.row>.span-4:first-child *, div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1586818319104_30084+.row>.span-4:last-child * { color: black; background-image: linear-gradient(to right, black, black); } /* align */ div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1586818319104_30084+.row>.span-4:first-child .image-subtitle.sqs-dynamic-text, div#block-yui_3_17_2_1_1586818319104_30084+.row>.span-4:last-child .image-subtitle.sqs-dynamic-text { display: flex; }

    So, who might be in charge for the implementation of this to all Squarespace websites? We need it so badly, all Squarespace sites are illegal with the old cookie consent right now, the only legal solution in the EU as of today is to switch off all cookies, which is such a bad idea when it comes to all things marketing & analytics. Dear @yoshe are you involved in this?

    Product Thumbnails not updating!

    There's unfortunately two places to change images for products, so make sure to go into the "ITEM" and "OPTIONS" tab of the product inventory listing and update them both. The ITEM tab shows a main image, and the OPTIONS holds a variant-specific image. If your product only has a single variation, this can be really confusing for my clients trying to update their product images.

    Hi Paul, thank you very much for the feedback. The problem with third-party solutions is, that they cannot control all Squarspace's cookies. So far we have used Cookiebot in connection with the Google Tag Manager. But also here, only cookies that can be entered in the Tag Manager are controllable. Obviously this is possible on the German Squarespace site with Trus Arc. Example: Adobe font (typekit) and LinkedIn My next question to the forum is, who has experience with Trust Arc or with a GDPR compliant solution of a third party. I need this solution for 10 Sqaurespace customer sites.

    The Cookie Banner on the German Squarespace website is TrustArc's Cookie Consent Manager, a third party tool.

    Disabling mobile menu on 7.1

    This worked for me to remove the hamburger from the mobile site...but is there anyway to add navigation menu with page titles? i.e. for mobile version... | SITE TITLE | | Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 | | [Home Page Content] | Site is RanchoSylva.com @inside_the_square any ideas?

    Hey Alex. I'm currently building on the Hayden template and this template has a feature where the header navigation disappears on scroll and then reappears on the second page. That's a feature I actually like, but on the mobile version, the header never comes back after scroll. I would like to know if there's CSS to replicate the desktop effect of the header to the mobile version. Please anything will help

    Underline all body links

    You can isolate code to a single page's header by clicking on the cog wheel next to the page. This will trigger a window to open where you should click advanced and finally you can add code to just that page. Step 1 Step 2 (Enter your code into the page header injection) Hope this helps.

    You'd want to target that specific block for mobile only in Design > Custom CSS. Try this and play around with the font size. @media screen and (max-width: 640px) { #block-b804c57f124fbfbe2d7f { font-size: 20px !important; } }

    So, I hunted around to find the customer care email (they do hide that thing, don't they?). And they got back to me fairly quickly. What I discovered is that I must have put passwords on some pages (I suppose that's what happens one one starts building a site 3 months ago and then quits...one forgets what one has done.) Which also happened to be the home page. So I was caught in circular log-in pages, but I couldn't tell because they are identical. So. I'm putting the "fix" here for other people to find. I was wrong so you don't have to be!

    How would I go about changing the background opacity of a content block? This is the current code I have in the CSS Editor: #block-4e5265faf96ce435b6ce { border-style: double white 10px; background-color: black; opacity: .3; padding-top: 20px }

    I could also really use the help hiding the title of a blog post across the banner. I need to keep it in the "title" section of the entry for SEO purposes, but it needs to be hidden. Any support would be great!
