    How protect emails from spambots

    Hi community We have found that email addresses are displayed in plain text in the html code. How can email addresses be hidden from spambots? Other CMS do this by default. Thank you for your support.

    Yes, you'll need to configure the MX record for the email provider. The Squarespace nameservers should be used.

    The email address is no longer valid. From the screenshots, it appears that the domain name (judithwestcott.co.uk) was recently moved from Namesco to Squarespace. The domain name has been moved, but nameserver and email settings haven't been changed to any new services - they still rely on Namesco services. You'll need to check if the client is still paying Namesco for the email service or if they are expecting another email provider to be running this service now, such as GSuite.

    CSS help!

    One option is to use a Markdown Block and then use two 'spacers' to center the Markdown block within the page section. <style> .underline { text-align: center; text-decoration: underline; text-decoration-style: solid; text-decoration-color: #ea1d26; } </style> <div class="underline"> <h2>EXPLORE</h2> </div> One issue is the Markdown version does not allow to you to define the thickness of the underline ( text-decoration-thickness: 10px)

    The 7.1 Template family is pretty much a one button scroll modeled after the 7.0 Brine Family which includes Pacific. I happen to like Brine. You can put every page in the main index of Brine and it scrolls, using parallax scrolling if you want. Brine will allow code for jump buttons which scrolls down the page as well. There are a lot of design templates in the Brine family. I am sure others here would agree, however you can accomplish a lot with either 7.0 or 7.1 Here is one of mine: https://atlanticcoastwater.com/

    Remove arrow

    Edit the post settings, remove the source URL , leave that blank. The arrow is a link back to itself, its used when you have a part one post part two that kind of thing. How anyone would know that looking at it, well...

    The best way to do it is the old fashioned copy and paste move. The two sites do not see each other even though they are in the same account, with same ownership. That is as it should be actually. there are a couple tricks folks have tried, with mixed results: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38091859/squarespace-transfer-one-page-to-another-website

    Import of blogs keeps failing

    Indeed! Am using a 7.1 template and the import simply errors out (export from another squarespace website) - is there no way to debug this? Would make squarespace really useful if one can efficiently import and export content!! — Importing data from WORDPRESS. — com.squarespace.v6.business.content.exceptions.InvalidContentItemException: urlId cannot be null: GXENTD6M8XWMPL396DTA — The import has failed. — WORDPRESS Import complete. Status: Failed

    How to submit a feature request

    Feature requests, improvement suggestions, and bug reports should all submitted by raising a ticket with Customer Care. You cannot track feature requests because Squarespace do not make them public.

    Import of blogs keeps failing

    Hi drdavis74, At the moment, Squarespace isn't optimized for importing content between Squarespace 7 sites. This is mentioned in the help guide below: Importing and exporting content If you would like to submit that as a feature request, please contact our Customer Support team as Squarespace doesn’t track feature requests or bug reports in this forum. Thanks!

    I need to create comparison sites using different templates. I thought maybe I could export my site and import, but I know Squarespace doesn't recommend importing their own file, although they support importing other sites' formats. When trying to import, I get the error: "— com.squarespace.v6.business.content.exceptions.InvalidContentItemException: urlId cannot be null: 82RWHTREFWN3BLDNAFC6" I opened the file in Word and an xml viewer and don't see a tag (or even mention) of a urlID, or the string at the end. I get I'm trying to do something that's not recommended, but just asking to see if there is an easy fix or something I'm missing.

    Yes, @hmfedders. You could do something like this, which would hide the description in a specific gallery on every-other item: [data-section-id="5db2f35f9ff0e37436549a65"] .gallery-grid-item:nth-child(even) .gallery-item-description { display: none; } Or you could target a list of gallery items individually by using their data-slide-url attribute: .gallery-grid-item[data-slide-url="1m274ar58gglbeuorp6quol3tmkhel-lx99y"] .gallery-item-description { display: none; } Do keep in mind that in the above examples, the data-section-id and data-slide-url would need to be changed to match your website. You can obtain these attributes using your browser's developer tools/inspector.

    So depending on the template you're using you should be able to remove it in the style editor. Failing that place the below in you websites CSS. .sqs-add-to-cart-button-wrapper {display:none!important}
